THE ROYAL ORDER OF THE PURPLE PALATE

The Royal Order Of The Purple Palate is the oldest wine group in Los Angeles. Dr. Bipin Desai, one of the founding members, is still an active member of the 8 person group (Dr. Desai, in addition to being a world famous food and wine expert, is also a professor of Physics, specializing in Quantum Mechanics and Dark Matter). The group meets eight times a year; at each meeting, one member organizes and hosts a fully blind tasting of (what are supposed to be, but aren’t always), legendary wines.
