GIANT KING CRABS AT ORIENTAL GARDEN, NYC – 2016

Will pre-ordered two giant king crabs and a group of us, including chef Masa,  went to Oriental Garden for a traditional Chinese feast, beginning with geoduck sashimi, then live shrimp,  then the crab served 3 ways etc — we drank 1985 Sassicaia, 1985 HB and 1968 Riscal  with the Peking Duck — there was a great Magnum of 2007 Roulot Meursault and I loved the perfect bottle of 1968 Tondonia blanca.

After dinner, we all went to The Blue Note for Chick Corea’s 75th birthday — Chick and his band blew the roof off.
