We had almost every major bordeaux from 1961 because three of us (Bill, Will and myself) turned 61. Highlights of this extraordinary triple birthday dinner at Per Se were 61 Trotanoy, 61 La Tache (we did a flight of 61 DRCs) and a 59/61 Petrus lineup. Will designed a fantastic menu and Michel is perhaps the best somm in NYC, and one of the best in the world — the wine service (at least 25 bottles served) was absolutely seamless.
